cowdery
A friend of mine, who lives in Palatine, Illinois, is a regular Wild Turkey drinker and says he has recently been unable to find it at his usual locations. I'm talking suburban Chicago, specifically the northwest suburbs. I know we have a lot of folks in that area. Is there a Wild Turkey shortage, there or anywhere?I recently had some reports of an Old Taylor shortage, and that turned out to be a brief glitch as distributors changed with the ownership change. This might be the same thing though, obviously, Wild Turkey is a much bigger brand.

cowdery
Thanks for your help, everyone.Apparently, the Skyy Vodka PR team in San Francisco is now the Wild Turkey PR team too (both brands are owned by Gruppo Campari). They've checked around and tell me there is plenty of Wild Turkey inventory in the northern suburbs, and the specific stores that told my friend they couldn't get any (a small chain called Teddy's) will be getting a call.I may not be good for much, but this I can do. ThomasH
I was in Windsor, Ontario over the weekend and the duty free store on the the Canadian side of the Ambassador bridge was totally out of Wild Turkey of every type. No 8yr. 101 or Sherry Signature at all. Detroit duty free also was out of Sherry Signature. either this stuff is no longer being made or it is in severely short supply!Thomas
cowdery
The PR folks at Skyy Spirits tell me nothing is wrong. The stores that started this thread now have Wild Turkey back in stock, for which I am claiming full credit.
