If only one bourbon?

Hypothetically if you were only allowed one Bourbon for the rest of your life what would your choose? I searched for similar threads, but most seemed to allow a few choices. Thankfully this will never be the case as I like a variety just like most of the site's members. While thinking about this choice I have gone back to the old liquor cabinet to refresh my preferences. Consider also that all other spirits (rum, vodka, gin, Scotch, rye etc.) will be unavailable as well. I think I have a choice in mind now, but would be interested in what other members would select as their one and only choice.

ORVW 15/107

It's a shame you can't find it in stores anymore. Unless you're really lucky.

If not the 15/107, maybe an Old-Grand dad BIB from ND's heyday. some things I had this last weekend made me seriously rethink exactly what a good bourbon really is, and I'm not liking some of the answers I came up with.

Right now, it's a tossup between Blanton's and Pappy Van Winkle Lot B, with the Lot B slightly in the lead.

Old Granddad 114. High proof and high rye, you can't go wrong. And if you are feeling like a light drink just add water and its still great.

Tuff question indeed! It has to be top quality in taste but also be perfect all-round bourbon as it is the only available. That mean it has to be very good as an aperitif/first drink of the evening, as an social drink, as an late on the night drink, after a lot of other drinking drink and a drink to different kinds of snacks like chocolate, cakes and desserts. My choice would not be a bourbon in this case but a Tennessee whiskey. Jack Daniels silver select!

I'm with you Joe.

I have been thinking about it since this thread started and I can't for the life of me narrow it down to one.

Maybe later, I'll keep thinking about it.

I'd have to go with Stagg. Any year would do, but higher proofs preferable. This is not to say Stagg is my Favorite bourbon. Rather, it's just the one I'd want, if I could have no other. Simply for the fact that you can do so much with this bourbon. Neat...Ice...Shaved Ice...water...Both...You can create a myriad of flavors and options with this Dynamo. Proofs from 140ish on down. And, no flavor degradation while you're diving. Plus, if you gets a boo-boo on your fingey, you have a readily available anti-septic. :)

Pappy 15 but I've got to say that decision does not come easy. WLW & Stagg are neck in neck. Also, just had the WRMC Seasoned Oak and that could give these a run for it as well..... so what I'm saying is I have no clue anymore.

Old Fitz BIB dsp-Ky 16 please. Just a perfect bourbon.

Sorry boys, but the thread is over.

DINGDINGDINGDINGDING!

Though I refuse to accept the notion that I can't sneak in a few Stagg in my suitcase.
