Van Winkle Christmas Miracle?

I just got back from running some last minute errands and swung by one of my local stores to pick up some beer for our party tonight. As I'm at the checkout counter, in front of my wandering eyes appeared the new 23yr old Van Winkle special bottling. It's Christmas eve, so I had to ask and tempt myself into paying $350+ for it........"It's $212!"

I couldn't get the words "I'll take it!" out of my mouth quick enough!

There is no letter with the set, but I wasn't going to get the manager called up to the front. I guess I've been a good boy this year! Thank you Santa Van Winkle Claus!

I'll bet I know what happen, the retailer made a mistake and put the Pappy Van Winkle 23yo price on it.

He lost a hundred bucks on that one.

I'm 100% certain that is what happened! I'm going to keep my eyes open to see if anymore pop up around the area at the regular bottle price!
