JohnHansell
I know that I'm not the first to say this, but I just wanted to say that I am glad that that SB.com exists. I confess that I don't get here as often as I would like, but I DO enjoy it when I do. You provide a valuable resourse. I will try to be more involved in the New Year and offer what I can to the conversation.Thank you!John

TNbourbon
As many of us have drunk many whiskeys on many occasions with you, John, so we know and appreciate the sincerity of your remark. And while we tolerate and understand the underlying rationales for emphasizing 'that other whisk(e)y' -- which many of us enjoy, too :toast: -- in your publication and Whisky Magazine, we also celebrate and appreciate when you honor and recognize the quality of American whiskeys vis-a-vis the single malts. The honest appreciation of whisk(e)y styles -- both where they converge and diverge -- doesn't so much require us to choose sides as it does to recognize the discriminations of our respective palates. As you represent yourself, John, the best way to appreciate our personal preferences is to appreciate them as widely as possible:cool:. loose proton
And bourbon companies and our credit card companies thank you, too. The more we get exposed to new things we have to try, the more we have to buy.

IronHead
Agreed. I've met some great people through this site, expanded my limited knowledge of bourbon, found some great bourbons to try and most of all I now have a place to go when I start talking about bourbon at home and my wife just gets that blank stare on her face...Cheers! theDon
Because of this site I am now homeless living in a hut made of cardboard boxes full of whiskey down by the river. Thanks SB.com!!!
emr454
This forum has been such a great help for me. The only problem is, I need more cash so I can start a large bunker full of great whiskey!Eric
OscarV
Here-Here.................................................Um, actually the correct term is "Hear-hear", meaning you are in agreement with the point that was just made.:skep: But maybe you were calling a dog as in "here, here Poochy"? Now I ask, "where, where?", as in, where the F is my bottle?

BBQ+Bourbon
I second all that's been said above. Before finding this site, I knew I liked bourbon, but I didn't understand why, or what about it I liked. The only bottle I owned was OWA, and the only others I'd had were Jack, WT and MM. Thanks to this site, I've met some good people, learned a good deal, and squandered a good vacation's worth of cash:slappin:
barturtle
Are you joking? Do you have any idea how much this place has cost me? Stupid expensive bottles here, one off bottles there, group buys over here, social gatherings this way, boxes of this and that shipped from and to near and far. Geez, thanks for nuthin'!:smiley_acbt:
