spun_cookie
I was trying to figure this one out last night for a swag of how many years of stock of bourbon I have. With a quick, 1 per month I had 40 years worth of bourbon, but that seemed low... The 1 per month that is.I pretty much only drink bourbon now days due to my travel again, so at 2 oz per night average, that is 60 oz per month and 2.2 bottles a month.I do not always have 2 oz and I do not drink every night, but close the last year.Anyhow, I am going to say I go through 2-3 a month, and I plan on mapping it a while to see...How about y'all? OscarV
As a matter of fact I to am on a mapping of what I drink. When I finish with what's open now (11 bottles, they are all real low) I am going to do a thorough inventory and drink everything that I have of 2 bottles or more. Then at the end of the year compare it, with any additions, to what is left. Also as I have stated elsewhere, my goal this year is to buy as little as possible. George
I'd guess I go through 1-2 bottles a month, give or take.

Joshua
Congrats on the not smoking thing... it's not easy but after a few months cigarettes made me sick. I had one after quitting and almost threw up, tasted awful. Did wonders for being able to breath and such as well! How many bottles a month... hard to say. I would say 1-2? 2 oz a day on the high end, lots of days I have .5 oz or 1oz... others I have 3. Really depends.

OscarV
As am I, but I have already purchased about 12....Hmmm, 12 in 6 days, you are on track to buy 730 bottles this year.Bring up a couple of cases of your favorites this summer, (I still remember your goal).
unclebunk
I'm guessing I consume 1-2 full bottles per month but you can add another bottle or two if there's a special occasion or holiday in a given month.
barturtle
Last, best estimate was 15 bottles/year. I'm stocked for somewhere around 20 years. I last bought bourbon in October (that has to be a new personal record for since I was 16)
fishnbowljoe
I'd estimate that I finish 2-3 a month. That's a real rough guestimate. There's times when I have a lot of open bottles with only a pour or two in them, and I'll finish 3-4 in a week. Then I won't send anything to the recycle bin for 2-3 weeks. I also share a lot of my stuff with my bowling team, (and others) so that kind of throws my count off a bit. Joe
hectic1
I typically have about 2oz when I drink and I would guess that I have a pour 3-4 times a week...I would guess that puts me between 1-2 bottles a month! At this rate I'll never run out as I buy about 4-5 bottles a month...

I have a planned dusty trip soon as well, so I might be close to that 730 by the time things are up
Westernboys
I would say 1-2 a month but probably a little more during the holidays...... ( New Years, MLK day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas)   Of course my wife is the one who usually says, "let's have some bourbon" and I gratefully share:rolleyes:
ratcheer
I drink considerably less than one bottle per month.Tim
independant
At my current rate of consumption I am knocking out 3 bottles a month and will be out of bourbon in a little over 3 years. Luckily I am still buying bottles so I will never run out.
IronHead
I probably knock down just over a bottle a month. At that rate I currently have enough bourbon for just over 5 years.

Special Reserve
Oscar,9 weeks and 2 days! Good for you! Congratulations, you're past the hard part. Cold turkey works. I did that on 3-15-1982 at 4PM. If I hadn't I would have been buried by now. Will
Special Reserve
Now, what's the tread about? I think I drink about 18 bottles/year or 1.5/month give or take. Perhaps more in the winter and less in the summer. I'm counting on my consumption increasing when I retire, but at any rate I too could go the entire year (for several years) without purchasing any bourbon but what fun would that be? spun_cookie
Now, what's the tread about? Did you mean "thread" .. just random Cookie thoughts... someone asked me how many gallons I had of juice, so I started thinking how much I have and how long it might take me to drink it.... ... I did not like the answer. Hard to justify buying more when you have 40 yrs worth, so now I know where to move my consumption level to so I can justify buying more

NYtaster
My best estimate is a bottle or so a week. I just tend to buy what I drink unless its somthing special and that tends to hang around for a few weeks. Mostly thats due to the limited selection I have here in winter wonderland. The best stocked place in 100 miles really only has the most common of what some of you lucky guys have access to.
theDon
I really thought I was on a bourbon drinkers site. Am I? I have at least 3 shots worth every day. 15 shots in bottle that's 1 a week plus maybe 5 shots each weekend night. That's with a full time job 2 kids and a daily exercise program. Seriously, some of you only drink 2 oz or less a day? I'm going to rehab.....I mean to the liquor cabinet.
