Am I? I have at least 3 shots worth every day. 15 shots in bottle that's 1 a week plus maybe 5 shots each weekend night. That's with a full time job 2 kids and a daily exercise program. Seriously, some of you only drink 2 oz or less a day? I'm going to rehab.....I mean to the liquor cabinet. ...and Don, here is an example of my 2 oz pour
rmallen
When I started getting into whiskey a year ago, I saved the corks from the bottles I finished. Initially, I did this in case I needed to replace a bad cork. So far, I haven't needed to reuse any of the corks but I continue to save them as a way to keep track of what I've consumed. Tally...18 in the last year. So, 1.5 bottles a month. BTW...any clever ideas about what to do with a bunch of old corks?
Joshua
BTW...any clever ideas about what to do with a bunch of old corks? drill holes in a coffee table the size of each cork until the entire top is one big panel of cork tops?
callmeox
There's a difference between my consumption and my consumption at home.I bowl 2 nights a week and the bar there has BT, so I'm good for 2 or three doubles a week there (not a night). I've found that since I satisfy my bourbon jones there, I drink less at home.My @home burn rate is much less than a bottle a month during bowling season (Sept to April). emr454
For me it's 2-3 oz a day 5-6 days a week. I try not to drink more than that because I don't want it to get out of hand due to past events that may hove slightly compromised the integrity of my liver, and because my father has a drinking problem and I don't want to end up that way.Anyway, if I drink 2 oz a day, that's 12.5 days per 750mL bottle, which ends up holding roughly 25oz. If I only drink 5 days a week, then that is 1.6 bottles per month. Of course, I have about 9 bottles open so I don't notice how quickly it is disappearing since it it spread out some. SMOWK
I usually go through 2-4 bottles per week. I do have friends over plenty. So I probably average a little over 2. So maybe 100 bottles per year personally.

docbible
I am probably in the 2 bottle range. I go through quite a few more than that due to sharing with others and always taking a bottle to any gathering of friends. Heading out to go duck hunting this evening in west TN, 3 bottles loaded. tim
funknik
Yeah, I gotta say I go through 3 bottles in an average month although it's hard to tell, since I may not finish that many, with about 10 bottles open . . . I could be wrong -- I'm sure there are months when I got through 4 bottles -- I've pretty much stopped drinking any alcohol outside of bourbon and the occasional beer if I'm out for dinner. LarryG
I typically have about 2oz when I drink and I would guess that I have a pour 3-4 times a week...I would guess that puts me between 1-2 bottles a month!
ggilbertva
I guess I'm the lightweight around here. As many bottles as I have, one would think I drink my bourbon with a crazy straw. A typical pour for me is about 1.5 oz and at present, I'm pouring maybe 3 times a week. In the summer, I do more like 4 or 5 times a week. I don't drink every day. And then again, there are times when the funk sets in and I go weeks without drinking. Hmmm....too many variables. Ok, to keep the math simple, less than a bottle a month so with my simple math consumption, I have about 30 years worth of bourbon in the bunker. I have tentative plans to visit a friend tonight so I'll be hitting the bourbon pretty heavy.....here's the lineup and I'll be drinking each one:'78 7 yr 86.8 pf'88 8 yr 101'98 10 yr RR 101TributeTraditionAmerican SpiritDrinking all that tonight will mean I probably won't have anything for a couple of days.
