JamesW
I go up to Canada for the holidays and this trip I took 2 ORVW 10/107's. One was for a gift and one was to have at the in-laws. I also carried (hidden) 4 flasks and 3 x 50ml's. The flasks had GTS 09, WLW 09, Handy 09, and Lot B. The 50 ml's had 2x Pappy 15 and 1x WRMCSO. jburlowski
When trying to relax during travels one wants something soothing and good but not again too exacting - that should be left for studied moments at home.Gary
Gillman
Standard simple whiskeys are not what I mean. I mean something satisfying and excellent yet does not demand exacting attention to appreciate its nuances or fine points. Travel for many involves a degree of fatigue, fragmented attention. At night when far away I like a shot of something excellent that covers all the bases - a drink like Four Roses does this. I never rely on the selection of a destination unless it is an obvious place like Louisville or Chicago, too much risk of finding just the standard choices which I don't generally drink. loose proton
though in the past I traveled with anything, including cognac, depending on mood, I've come to appreciate the convenience and security of twist top.
