Hi everyone:

A friend of mine is going to Orlando Fla in a couple of months and is willing to bring back a couple of bottles for me. I was hoping to get some BTAC or PVW or the Jefferson Reserve. Any help would be appreitiated!

Hi Frodo,

Don't know about Orlando, but if he'd like to visit Sarasota, Norman's Liquors usually has a large selection that usually includes some Stagg and PVW (sadly, no WLW). It's about 2hrs from Orlando to Sarasota. Norman's also has a store in Bradenton, which is slightly closer to Orlando.

Most liquor stores in Orlando have a limited bourbon selection and are very pricey. You may luck out at ABC, some maintain a nice selection, 1792, OW12, Bulleit, ERSB, Blantons and even an occasional BTAC WLW. ABC prices are normally reasonable. I believe Norman's has a store in Tampa/St. Petersburg also. I agree to a great selection, but their prices for the BTAC and PVW15 are all around $80.00, most other pricing is OK.

Good Luck!

Yep, I recently went to Orlando and was disappointed in my ability to find anything special. If you call ahead Knightly Liquors may be able to order something for you.

Last summer I picked up a BMH 21, BMH 18, 3 Bush Pilots, a first year Blanton's, a couple of early WTRB's and a couple of out of production Rums in Orlando. I left some Van Winkles on the shelves along with some OGD ND and a pewter top WTKS. Also left some great Armagnac at super prices.

Forget the ABC chain and the suburbs, look at the older places downtown and the older tourist places on the Disney corridor. Also skip the OBT. Old Win Dixie's that have liquor stores might hold a few surprises too.

It will take a lot of driving time and patience.

When in Florida, check everyplace you see. I have found many bottles of Weller Centennial in the ABC chain stores in the last 2 years!
