I've been feverishly searching for George T. Stagg, but I can't locate any in the St. Louis area. Do I have to make a whiskey run or is it all gone? confused.gif Does anybody have a suggestion? smirk.gif

Mark I take it you've asked for it at you local liquor stores. Did they even know what it was? Find out who is distributing Buffalo Trace products in your area and call them. They should be able to tell you how much they've been alloted and which stores are getting it.

Try calling Binny's in Chicago, as they have a special working relationship with Buffalo Trace.

I'll be posting my tasting notes on 'The Stagg' in the wee hours of Saturday morning. Once you read them you'll go anywhere and pay any price to get this must have bourbon. wink.gif

A few bottles of Stagg have arrived at two of the primary retailers that I order from. smile.gif I presume they may be keeping much of their allotments for their best customers. frown.gif Even though they told me that I might be able to get another bottle if there is some left after the regulars, I wanted you guys to get a shot at it! wink.gif

Wine and Liquor Depot, CA (Howard) (818)996-1414

Town Wine & Spirits, RI (Elliot) (401)434-4563

Good luck.

Racer,

Even this high-priced internet specialty store now lists George T Stagg -- for a mere $50 a bottle, not quite as high a premium as they usually list. Of course you still get to pay a shipping charge on top of that.

Yours truly,

Dave, I checked this site out. They are offering 12 bottles of Stagg for 510. about 42+ a bottle , not bad. I didn't go far enough to see what the shipping cost. That's a fair deal especially if they can come thru! They also show EzraB for 20 a bottle which is cheaper than I can get at Liquor Barn . Noah's mill is a few bucks cheaper. I almost shit, however, when I saw 19yo Weller at 88. Not today folks. Not even if it were the last bottle in the world.

They also had several things I have not seen here in Lexington: AA 10yo 107 proof, Evan Williams 1783 10yo, George Dickle "Bourbon" grin.gifgrin.gif , Mark Twain and OJC bourbons??, How can you sell a 750ml bottle of WT80 for $18.50 and a 1L for $32? And a bottle of Va Gent. that I would like to order, save for the legislature protecting me from myself with our no-shipping policy.

Jeff, that AA107 caught my eye too. Would like one. We have plenty of Evan Williams 1783 @ 10YO in Bardstown and Louisville. I bet it's in Lexington . Look a little harder. Old Bardstown 10 year old may show some promise as well. grin.gif
