bobbyc
I was in the Bourbo-Bunker admiring what I have left of Birthday Bourbon, Not many now , and none to share. Anyway I noticed the corks were raising and there was a lot of pressure on the heat shrink clear plastic at the top. One was up a full 3/16 of an inch. I just gave them a shake and pressed them back down. There is a display of HH products in what used to be the Farmers Bank in Bardstown , It's on courthouse square. I noticed an Elijah Craig bottle in the window that had almost completely blew the cork. I figured the heat and sunlight was causing it. I don't know what to make of this because the Bunker is very cool and unheated.
ratcheer
Thanks, Bobby. I will check my unopened cork-stoppered bottles.Tim
jeff
Bobby that bourbon is just screaming to get out I just checked my two unopend bottles and they look fine. They are stored in a dark and cool closet. I guess you better just open them up and have a "look"
Paradox
Ditto here Bobby... I have 3 unopened and all are fine. I was in the bunker the night of the bbq and can't see how that happened either.
Guest **DONOTDELETE**
Bobby try calling around to some bars and see if you could get them to save you some of the wire baskets that are used to hold champange corks in place. Then just instal them on your bottles. That'll hold those puppies down!
hollywood
I've had no trouble with the OFBB corks whatsoever, however I have noticed that the corks are the tightest sealing (by far) than any I've seen! If pressure did build up....wow! See ya, H'wood
