Down to one last pour of PVW 15. Not sold in NC. Just broke up with my honey in Florida, so no longer have a good way of replenishing. Life is sucking just about now.

Worry not, there are avenues to get the Pappy....Get to Rock Hill, SC (just south of Charlotte) to Frugal MacDougal's worth the trip. Or, give the bourbon guy at Binny's a call....he's got a way to get it to us :)

Well, I finished my Johnny Drum 15 year....it was an OK bottle at the start, and an OK one at the end. This is one that I won't by again, just needed to clear the space on the shelf for new bottles....

Nice evening here in Seattle. Went to a friends house grilled some steaks, sat around the fire pit and while the kids made smores the adults finished off a bottle of Buffalo Trace.

Finished off a Binny's ERSB last night and a RHF's is about to give up the ghost as well.

Tossed an empty 3-YO Party Source Willett SB into the recycling bin. I really liked it, despite its tender age. Next up, some OWA.

A bottle of Baker's went away tonight. I'm trying to finish off more of what I already have before buying anything else (who am I fooling), but I'm going to miss this one.

Started early on a lotB, and it's just wonderful. I haven't drank this which was a daily pour for me for a while. I have been drinking the WLW, GTS, etc. I need to stock up more on this lotB. Down to my last two bottles.

Waiting for my delivery of the 4R_17yr.

Cheers

Just finished off a bottle of Old Forester Signature. Definately a bottle I will replace.

Poured the last of my dimpled Old Forester BIB liter (from about 1988) into mint juleps this weekend. I could never get into that one -- even though I love the honey-barrel-era Woodford Reserve and the Birthday Bourbons.

Last night I had the last couple health pours from a ORVW 10 107. I had them with a pan seared porterhouse. When I cook steaks this way, I realy need to use penut oil or perhaps give clarified butter a try. EVOO's smoke point is too low. I set off the smoke detector.

I killed off a bottle of ORVW 10/90...I sad to see it go in that it was my first VW bottle that I ever bought...the bottle that started it all for me!

Catching up on old business:

On Oaks Night4-30-2010, a bottle of Willett's Family Estate Single Barrel Rye Aged 22 Years bottle #78 of 216, Selected for: Neil & Doug, gave up it's last two pours.

It went quite well with a 601 Habano Oscuro "La Punta"

WTKS hit the recycle bin. I have been pairing it with WRMCSO by doing a 1/2-1/2 mix and plowed through it as a result.

A Mr. Thomas Handy hit the bin last night. A beautiful, pleasant evening spent of the deck. Thankfully, he has several of this brothers waiting in the wings.

I'm going to get me a THH this Autumn if they are aged a little longer, but I have to say it's about the best rye I have ever had since the '06 Sazerac from the BTAC.
