Dustie Canadians for trade?

Stumbled upon these two oldies today and couldn't resist buying them, even though I'm not a Canadian whiskey fan. Both have paper seals intact, although both seals are tattered (I'd even say one is ready to flake away altogether with a good sneeze). On one it's clearly stated 1966 and since they're identical in all other respects I'd bet their both from that year. And both are quart size.

They're clearly relics (I was only two years old when they were bottled!) and if anyone is interested in a trade, please PM me. I'm not asking for much (I confess I didn't pay much for the pair)-- all offers of odd or obsolete bourbon are welcome.

I would drink at least one. It has to be better than what is available today. I remember cc from the early 90's that had a distinct orange like flavor. I know the guy who was the distiller then, and he says it was because of better barrels and a lot more rye content. It is probably good stuff.

Thanks, Silverfish. I'll repost there. I'd looked for such an area but missed it the first time.

They were bought near West Orange, NJ. The store didn't have much in the way of dusties, it seemed odd to me that these loners would sit on a shelf so long, but there they were. The proprietor didn't know what to charge me, their price stickers had long fallen off and they obviously didn't have UPC codes.

I may end up opening the one whose paper seal is all but gone. The other I'll probably set aside for a trade-- I'd rather one or both fall into the hands of someone who will appreciate them more than me.

Hmmm... just visited that link and on second thought, I won't be reposting there. Never imagined a couple (seemingly) harmless bottles of booze for trade would be viewed so scandalous!

Sorry, I should've been more clear with my post.

I didn't want to suggest that there was a "trade

thread" you should be posting in. More as a "head's

up" so no one got in trouble either here at SB or

with their local shipping service of choice.

No problem, Silverfish. That does explain why there's no "trading post" site here. I know it's been beat to death as a discussion point, the legalities and all, but it does strike me that while a couple over-21 guys trading a couple bottles of booze might be against the law, so is going 56 in a 55 zone, know what I mean? Hard to imagine anyone would care, lest it become heavy business and heavy trade volume (and then it'd be more like doing 90 in said zone).
