Today I found a store with 3 bottles of A.H. Hirsch 16 year Blue Wax Top! The price? $61.00 per bottle with a big sale sign down from $89.99!?!?!

I grabbed them and ran to the till so fast that I scared the poor cashier.

He said they've had them on the shelves forever and were trying to get rid of them!

OMG

This ranks among the top rare finds ever for me.

Here's a picture of the triplets. Anyone know their approximate collectors value of a one of these??

Fear not my friends, I of course will open a bottle immediately upon completion of this post to enjoy what was ment to be enjoyed!

Hard to say, the gold foil here in MI goes for $220.00 so if I were you I'd put them up on eBay and get at least 3 bills per, probably more.

One thing is for sure, they don't taste like a 3 hundred dollar bottle of bourbon.

I nominate that as dusty score of the year. Nicely done indeed.

Wow!

I've had Blue Wax and it's good wikkey. Pretty, pretty, good.

That's an better deal than the '63 Split Window Corvette I just bought in a divorce sale for $1 - now if it'd been 3 Corvettes...

There are times when I've made dusty finds that I started to shake a little bit and have a hard time concentrating on casing...err, viewing... the rest of the store, suddenly obsessing that my precioussssssss would slip from my fingers. Precioussssss, you are safe with us now, no one will ever touch you, preciousssss.

Deal!

would you like it's box and the extra decals it came with, too?

Oh, there's a little extra glue spilt where I glued the windshield onto the body. That's not a problem, is it?

That's a great find probably the find of the year for SB.com and the find of your life. The last Blue wax I know of that sold on ebay went for around $600 but don't sell them enjoy them.

Congrats on the incredible find. The odds are if I would have found those I would have either passed out or jumped around like an 8 year old on Christmas morning.

I go to Calgary several times a year and have posted about several bars that still pour early Van Winkle products like Lot B in green glass bottles (from Lawrenceburg). Grren glass Van Winkle and Hirsch Blue Wax are probably from about the same vintage. I purchased several bottles of Van Winkle 10/90 from L'burg too. So obviously at some time in the past his products (and products bottled by him) made it to Canada. I have seen his newer stuff too but way overpriced.

I found 4 bottles of what appears to be the gold foil tops for 350 here in town... Sooo... Is it not as good as the blue or gold wax?
