I realize a scotch distilled in '75 may be either hard to find and/or quite expensive but I thought I'd ask here for some suggestions.Ideally, it should be something available in the US sothat I could check stores in my area or order from an on-line seller. Understand this item doesn't have to be top shelf quality as I'm thinking it'll have more of a sentimental aspect so pricing at the lower end would certainly be considered.If anyone has a recommendation, feel free to post a reply or shoot me a PM. AVB Posted May 13, 2010 Share Posted May 13, 2010 From what I know there isn't going to be too many to choose from in the US. Even overseas the price will get up to £100+ rather quickly. However, all is not lost as Binny's has a 1975 Imperial available for $100. I have one and it is actually pretty good. The problem is they have it listed for in-store only. It's modestly priced and Binny's ships to my state.Jay at PartySource sent a very nice reply to my bottleinquiry. He offered a few suggestions but did mention that 1975 seemed to be a particularly hard-to-find year as far as "Birthday Bottles". I will probably follow his advice and get a "nicer" (read: more expensive) bottle for 2015 (40th birthday).I appreciate the replies and suggestions!
