Best Portland selections

I tried searching for this but didn't find what I wanted. I'm looking for PDX bars with the best whiskey selections. I found a place called Branch that does "flights" of whiskey, or three one ounce shots, you choose the whiskey. Sounds like a good way to go but I'm looking for recommendations.

I recently moved from Portland and never found a good bar with much selection, but was told of one that did. I can't recall the name right now but will check my past messages and get back to you.

I can't find the info I was looking for, but I across a place called Pope House Bourbon Lounge http://www.popehouselounge.com/index.html that has a pretty impressive list of bourbon so I'd try them.

I'm not real familiar with any of the downtown Portland bars, but if you're willing to drive a few miles south, to Tigard, there's John Barleycorn's (14610 S.W. Sequoia Pkwy). It's one of the McMenamins chain, but if you've visited more than one of those you know that there's a lot of variation between branches (i.e., it's not a "cookie cutter" deal like, say, Applebees).

I was there about a year ago and it had a better selection than I'd seen in most Oregon bars.

The $16.75 for a glass of PVW 20 is a lot, but there's a local (Corvallis) bar that charges $20.

At Makers Mark in KC.. The PVW20 is 19 for a flight and 39 a glass... The ads always bother me. This is a bar centered around bourbon, but the ads show people sitting around drinking wine...
