Pappy 23: How do I find out when it was bottled?

Hello SB!

My brother just recently purchased a bottle of Pappy 23, bottle #D 9907. He bought it to celebrate taking the Kentucky Bar Exam in July, and we are trying to find out when it was bottled.

Does anyone know what bottling it came from? We have emailed Julian but wanted to know if anyone else might have some insight.

He is 25 years old, and is most curious if the PVW is older than him!:grin:

I believe it is the most recent bottling. I actually saw my first "D" bottling last week. I'd guess it is a 2010 bottling.

Very cool. I bought the ORVW 23 year old and it was bottled in April of 1986 .. and I was born in 1986. So it's within 2 weeks of the day of my birth. Pretty cool. Saving this one for a while, but might buy another one if I come across a good enough price for one. Would be pretty cool to bust out when I'm 50.

Julian, any specific dates in April 86 for the ORVW 23? Just curious to how old it is in relation to me.

Distilled/barreled. that is pretty awesome, though. ORVW23 is pretty grand stuff.
