OCPR (sigh).... this was the longest-lasting bottle on my bar. Sad to see it and the best of the OC brand go.

This gave up the ghost while I was watching Bull Durham for the umpteenth time. The best damn sports movie ever made and one of the best damn movies of any genre ever made. If you're a man and can watch this and don't conclude that Susan Sarandon is among the hottest things ever... well excuse me while I take a shower.

Well I haven’t read much of this thread and not posted anything, but as I did kill 3 bottles today I make my first post. JDSS, WT 101 1985 and Handy 2009.

My girlfriend and I sat outside last night and polished off the last of the Rittenhouse Rye 23yo that fishnbowljoe was kind enough to give her. Barrel 17, bottle 10. It was great stuff!

Forgot to check in yesterday: killed a bottle of Four Roses Yellow Label mixing a Whiskey Smash variation for my bourbon-hating wife: 1 part bourbon, 1 part peach nectar, 3/4 part simple syrup, 3/4 part fresh lemon juice (we decided the store-bought sour mix tasted like detergent!), splash of soda, no garnish.

There's another behind it -- FRYL is my summer-sipper.

Lost a bottle of WTRR-90. Fortunately, it is an easy replacement!

The last pour was had from a bottle of Lot B tonight. I hope the replacement is as good as this one was.

Just finished a handle of 91 Old Forester BIB. Glad I have 3 (91 or older) in the bunker. Thanks Tommyboy. Joe

A Pappy 15, and a Lot B both said aloha last night. Strange thing is, is that while in the chat the other night, I tried a 1:1 vatting of the two. :skep: IMHO, it was pretty darn good. :yum: Joe

The purge continues. A 91 JW Dant BIB, and a 96 200 ml of Old Fitz BIB also hit the recycle bin today. The garbage man must wonder what's going on at my house. Between all the bottles I finished in the last week, and a few empties I had been holding on to, (in case I needed to decant something into them), there are about 10 empties out at the curb tonight in my recycle bin. Joe

The last of a wonderful 2004 WTKS smooth brown topped bottle was emptied into my favorite glass this evening.

I am going to miss this bottle, but I enjoyed every pour.

Is it just me, or do the 2002-2004 SDT's get a lot more love than a lot of the Pewter tops. Some of the best Kentucky Spirits I have had have been the SDT's.... (except for Tony's 1995 pewter top... )

My '94 and '95 pewters are unopened so I can't compare but the '04 SDT I'm working on is one of my favorite all time pours. Just super juice.

Last night, during Gazebo (chat), I finished off my bottle of Buck in three quick swigs straight from the bottle. I was subsequently inspired to recount to the others present the story of Josh and the Cornstalk.

a WT Rye bit the dust. The last pour is in the glass. I have to finish it. Tomorrow is garbage pick up. Isn't that how that works...........

OWA and EC12 bit the dust in this past week. Both were just great examples of value for money whiskey. Ec12 is readily replaced...the OWA will be sorely missed.

A SW Weller 12 gave it's last tonight for a good cause. I always like to have a pour of something good when a member adds to their family. Joe
