Phantos
Where can I find this in the United States?I searched but nothing popped up, strangely enough.Thanks.
cowdery
Never heard of it, never seen it. Since J.T.S. Brown is a bottom-shelf brand, I find it hard to believe they ever did a 10-year-old. For Japan, maybe. Is that where you saw it?

sailor22
What proof is that? I'm a fan of the BiB and would love to try a bottle of that.
Josh
Wow. Was there an older, pre-HH version of that?

cowdery
Wow. Was there an older, pre-HH version of that? No, that's just something created for the Japanese market. Heaven Hill has had J.T.S. Brown for a long time, more than 20 and maybe close to 30 years.Double-digit age statements are still a big deal in Japan, which is where the trend to extra-aged bourbons began. They were used to 12+ year old scotches and didn't see why bourbon shouldn't be that old too. It just so happened that the Kentucky distilleries were in the midst of the great glut at the time, so they had an abundance of just such whiskeys. Heaven Hill sells a lot of different labels at 10, 12 and 15 years over there, as well as some up to 30 years.
