I quit buying 1783 when they dropped the age statement but that was not in protest so much as the other choices available. I would like to try the two side by side.

I agree with bringing back EW 1783 back to 10 years. It is still a good bourbon at a great price but it has lost some magic without an age statement.

But I think even more interesting would be barrel proof version of EW single barrel.

Van Winkle Lot B at 107 proof and without a doubt ER... pretty please Mr. BT... even just the SB at 100 if not 101. All-right I'll be greedy and wish for a Centennial age and proof Weller too!

More improvement of current bourbon also make sense, as to me it seems, that a new bourbon boom has sparked in 2010, with PVW 15 and BTAC now not even lasting a few days at places where I could let them sit 6 months or more. Or is the uptick just in the premium status, got to have, highly rated juice? See Chuck Cowdery's blog about his recent increase in book sales though, which I believe could be further evidence of a possible new Bourbon boom.

Why not get up some proofs. Let for example Dickel 12, Weller 12, JDSB, WR and MM be 107 instead of the low proof they are today.

I would get Diageo to crank S-W back up instead of just using it as a barrel stop over, put WTRR back to 101 were it belongs and bring back its original bottle, Take every current 80 proof brand and bring out a 100 proof variant if it isn't already on the market or if it is, bring out a longer aged version. Lastly, I would put the I.W.Harper brand back on the US market so it would be easier to get, especially as a BIB/100 proofer!

Lots of great suggestions, but I like Joshua's best. I would LOVE a WT Rye at 10-13 years old. I think Joe is right too, ER17 needs to be at least 100 proof.

Handy needs to be about 14 to keep it in the AC, but if you want it young then they could introduce a new regular release expression to fill that void. Listening Buffalo Trace? Could be a win-win and bigger money maker.

Like the VVOB idea, give us a 8, 10 and 12 year old Barton expression!

For some reason today I had a quick idle thought that a Jim Beam Black Single Barrel might have a place in this universe. This was probably triggered by Beam's recent Knob Creek SB. Maybe it would cost 26$ and catch the eye of someone looking up a little bit. I'm not personally pining (sp) for it at the moment. I imagine that regular JBB would suffer for it but there would be in theory a new better product for me to consider later.
