Bumped into this site yesterday:

http://www.bourbonandwhiskey.com/

All whiskey comes off the still as nothing but alcohol and water - pure "moonshine". Ingredients have little, if anything, to do with the flavor. The wood the barrel is make from, how charcoaled the barrel is, how long it's aged, the climate where it's aged, whether or not the barrels are rotated during aging, new vs. used barrels and the water that's added are what determine the flavor.

Dang! I'm gonna go get me some Everclear and a "charcoaled" barrel and make me some Bourbon! :slappin:

I like the description of Canadian Whiskey: "Must be masked, distilled, and agent in Canada"

Hmmm, a masked agent. Very cloak and dagger!

My favorite part...

"Want us to review a specific brand?. We'll gladly add it to the list.

In North Carolina, all liquors have to be purchased at an Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) store.

If the brand is available here, you only have to send us the price of a 750ml bottle. Current pricelist. Commemorative bottles preferred.

Other brands can also be imported through the ABC if purchased in case lots. We can obtain a quote if you're interested.

Any amount over the cost is appreciated and, no, you don't get any part of the left over amount - bourbon or money! Also, there are no refunds."

Nice!!! Pay me for the bottle (Commemorative preferred  ) and I write a review. :slappin: :slappin: :slappin: :slappin:

"To be Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey all of the whiskey in the bottle must not be blended with any other whiskey."

And it has to be older than 3 years I believe.

That's 2 years Resistor.

But you can blend it with other straight bourbons. You can even blend it with magic beans and call it Makers Mark "46".

Wow, did you see the size of that glass he had?

The "standard" whiskey glass?

Because a true gentleman and connoisseur doesn't swig directly from the paper-bag wrapped bottle. :drinking:

Sometimes the power of Google and Youtube can backfire on us. I can remember when the greatest majority of the world lived in blessed anonymity (around 1980 :-). Emily Post and Nella Henney never had a chance when the internet came to town.
