Josh
Pappy's not a part of the BTAC. But I am interested in Pappy 15!
The Boozer
Pappy 15 hasn't been around these parts for 6 months. Can't find any Lot B either. It appears that the Rain Vodka company has it in for us MI bourbon hounds. I would blame Oscar but he is The Man.

silverfish
John Hansell posts some "general thoughts" on the 2010 BTAC with formal reviews to follow."In short, wonderful!"and "So, the bottom line here: we’re looking at five great whiskeys–all classics, or pretty close to classic." mrfusion
Given the most likely increase in price I suspect plenty will be on the shelves as some folks pass and others buy far less. If anything goes quickly it will be the WLW.That's been my experience even here in Lexington. It seems that as the prices keep going up, the Antiques are getting easier to find. In fact in many places here that get a pretty good amount of play like the Liquor Barn, you can still get the 09' Handy. The Stagg and WLW do still seem to go fast though. cowdery
Mark Brown tells the story of a customer writing and asking if they would consider doing a barrel-proof bourbon. Mark asked Gary Gayhart to pick something suitable. They sent it to the guy to see if he liked it. They also tried it and decided they were on to something. Thus Stagg was born. I think that's the gist of it.

sysrick
After seeing a tweet that they were on the shelves, got to the Beamont Liquor Barn in Lexington within two hours -- and they were sold out other than 6 bottles of Handy (now they have 4). SMOWK
Killer! It should only be a matter of a few weeks before it starts hitting our shelves here on the east coast. Or, rather, hitting the distributors and falling into the hands of distributors friends. None of them seem to actually hit the shelf around here. ODaniel
Finally! All I could afford. I wish I could have bought them all. Oh, Stagg, Weller, Sazerac, Handy all hit the shelves. Eagle Rare did not. Neither did any Van Winkle, although some were being sold. This is at Hamburg Liquor Barn. I think Weller is just about gone. There was a decent amount of the rest left. LouKyLover
I wanted to start a thread for the much anticipated 2010 BTAC. Anybody have any inkling of when it might be released?I just got an email from my liquor store here in Louisville that the new Eagle 17 and Barrel Strength Weller will be available for pickup at 5 pm today. I don't need the Stagg and don't collect/enjoy the Ryes.
