I have found a a place that claims to have 5 bottles of....

Four Roses Mariage Collection 2008 Barrel Strength Bourbon Whiskey 107.8 Proof 750ml

For $90 +$20 shipping, and have read comments from members here about this bottling and was just wondering if members here would go for a bottle???

I've paid more for worse.

All things considered I think $110.00 is a fair price for the '08 Maraige.

Pretty pricey for that. If it were me, I would pass.

I agree... a stiff price but very, very good whiskey.

It is good material. I pay $105 when I get it. That's retail plus the governor's portion in tax. The mariage is a more complex drink, lots of flavors. The type of quality that one finds in better pours ... and more expensive pours. Check around your local shopping area and maybe someone can turn one up for less.

I believe I read on-line that the Mariage was only produced for two

years (2008 & 2009) and has been replaced with something else. If

this is the case, from a collector's standpoint, it could be considered

a bargain.

A member turned me onto a location that has some at a lower price (thank you) which is near a family member I plan to visit on the drive home. I'll probably grab a bottle as I go by and avoid the shipping charge.

Hey Bob, glad to see you can get the 4R 2008 Maraige at a cheaper price.

To bad you can't try it before you buy it, some people are put off by it because it is very floral.

Which is interesting because they didn't use the floral yeast recipe.

OBSV-high rye, delicate fruit & OESK-low rye, slight spice, were used for it.

I think it's very unique and like it a lot, along with the '09 Maraige it's Jim Rutledge showing his vatting skills.

I have 5 of each bunkered.

Oscar-

There's some good folks here, seems everyone is willing to help out everyone else, I think I'll like it here.

I really didn't drink a lot (the past several years), but did really enjoy my bourbon when I did. Since I've been over here on enforced abstinence I have REALLY been missing it. When I get home I want to experience the whole range bourbon and rye has to offer, so it might be on one end of the scale but I'm looking forward to enjoying it all.

Now if I could just snag a dusty ER 101 on the road....

Not just floral though.... kind of a weird botanical scent that almost reminds me of gin. I hate gin, but I love FRM08.

It's been replaced with the Small Batch - Limited Edition. Same bottle, same concept, different labeling.
