Need help from someone in Chicago

I live in Pittsburgh and am thinking about a day trip or overnight to Chicago to do a bourbon run. I would rather avoid downtown Chicago and the traffic and wondered if someone could direct me to the best Binny's ( in terms of supply) outside of the high traffic areas around Chicago. I have a slight vision impairment so I try to avoid really heavy traffic. Thanks in advance.

Why not avoid the stress and expense and order from Binny's web-site?

Or...find a hotel close to the blue line train (I think that's the one you want), and just ride that to the South Loop Store and hang with our man Joe aka Lost Pollito and then go stuff your face with corned beef at Manny's across the street. Chicago has very good public transit, so ditching the car might be a good thing to do.

I think you can also get to Delilah's on the blue line, tho you may have to transfer. They have an amazing selection of American whiskey behind the bar and great music and atmosphere, to me anyway.

All good suggestions but if you still wish to hit a Binny's outside of the city with a great selection, try the Willowbrook store. I've been in a half dozen Binny's stores and this one comes closest to the South Loop store in terms of selection. You may wish to get a Binny's member card too and sign up for their emails, as Binny's has periodic sales of 15% off on all spirits which can save you a lot of dough.

I agree with having them ship if possible.

There are so many Binny's in town that it would be possible to visit several without driving too much once you arrive.

And if you want to visit the South Loop store, definitely avoid rush hour.

As we have come to expect, our Chicago friends are always willing to help you on your quest, and direct you to the fine surburban stores you seek. But, I would advise you to go Downtown. See it, walk it, train it, enjoy it. It's one of America's great cities, and worth any hassle you might encounter getting in and out of it. Hiyevah, the Willowbrook store is pretty dern good, too.
