dmarkle
So my friend was finally able to score for himself a bottle of PVW 20, and now treats it well... like... Remember in the Simpsons when Homer bought the lobster and brought it home and raised it like a child? Well, you get the idea...One thing he misses is that his bottle didn't come with one of those fancypants strategic red velvet bags -- don't laugh -- it's important to him. He says it's a great way of hiding the fact that his bottle is open when entertaining, as guests sometimes are given to think that all open bottles are fair game. He even made a second trip to the liquor store and left dejected when the owner told him that the bottle came "naked". So here's the question -- if he wants to get his grubby little mitts on a red bag, do you think he could give a shout out to the Van Winkles and ask for/buy one to keep his new baby warm? Josh
I'm sure there are some people around here with spare ones, but I can't stop giggling over the title of the thread.

PVan
The 20yr Pappy is packed 6 bags on, 6 off in hopes that the folks at the distribution warehouses will send the ones with the bags to the stores and the ones without to the bars and restaurants(where the bags get thrown away). We'd be happy to send your friend a bag. He can email me directly at pvanwinkle@oldripvanwinkle.comcheers!

You guys put out an amazing product. True story: The first time I had your 15 year old PVW, I bought it on a whim, thinking nothing of it. I then tasted it that night. The next morning I got in the car and made the trip down to Frankfort from DC to see if I could see where it's made and if I could get some more. What a great roadtrip that was! I found some more of your stuff, got to tour BT, and learned a bunch. Some of my best memories with good friends are being made over your juice. I hope you and/or your father find your way up to DC for a tasting event sometime soon! -Dave
