imbibehour
Hey all!Anybody ever have the George Washington Distillery Limited Edition Vatted American Whiskey?I have a sample here, given to me from somebody. It's a small little bottle from a nice small package, with it's own tiny shot glass. The bottle reads (on the back)...This limited edition is a unique blend of Jack Daniel's, Jim Beam, Wild Turkey, Very old Barton, Virginia Gentleman, George Dickel, Makers Mark, Woodford Reserve, I.W. Harper, Rebel Yell and Platte Valley (geez that's a mouthfull...)commingled and aged at Mount Vernon.umm.. okay :confused:So I am going to make a video tasting of this thing... but has anyone had it before? They have been starting to sell whiskey made at Mount Vernon and I am curious if anyone has had any...It sounds totally dyslexic!! :slappin:
callmeox
I don't know anyone who has tasted it recently, but Chuck Cowdery opened a thread about it here
dmarkle
I've had it! It was OK, but IMO nothing to write home about.Check out this thread:http://www.straightbourbon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14208&highlight=washingtonMake sure to read Chuck's comments later in the thread, as he had a hand in making some of this stuff...I've also had the unaged rye that they were selling during the grand opening -- again, if I had a bottle (they sold out really quick) it would be worth more to me as a collector's item than it would be as a drink, since it's basically white dog.
