I have seen some bottles of Makers Mark at the store and some have yellow wax and the others are the regular Red wax. Is there a difference between the two ? Dustys maybe ?

They do a lot of commemorative bottles. Same whiskey inside but a different label and, often, a different color wax. For example, they have done double dips featuring the colors of many collegiate and professional sports teams. Read the label and it will probably tell you what the yellow wax represents.

Thanks ! I almost bought it just because it was yellow. A double dip Bears orange and blue would be nice !

That explains the red and gray dipped bottles I've seen on the shelf in Ohio.

I saw some MM bottles with a Christmas card type scene on the label recently. It made me do a double take. In the past I have seen some of the other colored wax for different colleges. As Chuck said, it's all the regular MM inside.

I sure you can find plenty of scarlet and grey "things" on ebay, local pawn shops, tattoo shops, etc. I know for a fact that there are at least 5 2008 Big Ten Championship rings available...you should have no problem find a bottle of Maker's Mark! ;)
