Neat
Is anyone familiar with the WT sold at Narita duty free stores? I read somewhere that WT8, WT12, and WTT may still be sold in Japanese duty free stores (with some other speciality bottlings occasionally). I may be flying through Narita on a business trip. It appears that WT12 is about $38 (much cheaper than what I paid for recently for 2 bottles here in the US and what I am seeing on eBay when it pops up now and then). What is the juice like? I remember someone may have said that someone from WT said that they don't really send the good juice overseas. Any response will be appreciated! Someone on here MUST have bought a 12yo from Japan and tried it - isn't one of the regulars here currently living in Japan? If I don't hear from anyone, if I can buy a bottle (or 4!) (probably in a few months if the trip goes through), I'll put up some tasting notes.
B.B. Babington
sometimes the best stuff goes to markets willing to pay for it, like Japan and certain duty free shops. There are many discriminating sippers in Japan. IMO, aged WT is excellent and I wish they'd do more of it.
StraightBoston
Two weeks ago they only had the WT8 at Narita (I think... I didn't check every storefront.)I've purchased the WT12 in the past but wasn't overly impressed. It's good stuff, but not the match of the legendary 12 year old's sold here in the past (IMHO!) Besides, $38 (I know it's duty free but still) for a WT12?!

For $38, I'll take a gamble!
