I grabbed this bottle for $14.25 at an old package store. They had a few other old bottles that I may go back for.

This has a tax seal, no UPC, and the bottle is embossed 4/5 Quart. Any idea of its age?

It has a few flecks in it that settle to the bottom. Are they something to worry about?

Thanks

It looks clear, just a few dark flecks that float up when the bottle is moved then the settle to the bottom.

Just a thought on my part and I don't want to speculate. Perhaps someone knowledgeable will jump in.

I believe fishnbowljoe has a similar bottle in his collection - his dates from the late 60's unless I'm mistaken??

Yes, I had one from 1967. Great tasting juice. :yum: Open it up and try it. As long as it doesn't taste tainted, you should be okay. If the floaties bother you, just pour the juice through a strainer or coffee filter. Enjoy. Joe

Ancient Age is known for being the same whiskey, decade after decade. I have some from about 91 and it's delicious - 90 proof - not complicated, but like Reece's Pieces you just want more, and more, and more...

My bottle is 86 proof.

Thanks for the info. :)

I see most of the bottles that I've looked at have an age statement on them but mine doesn't. I saw some pics on ebay that said they were bottles from the 70s that had plastic caps. My bottle has a metal cap.

I'll let you guys know how it tastes after I crack it open. ;)
