barturtle
Interesting. Wonder if the ABC will take note of this. Technically you can't have sale prices on alcohol that aren't available to everyone. It's why there are never Kroger Card savings on beer. If beer's on sale, it's a sale, not a "member discount". NeoTexan
Calling and the web site does not do it. I was informed you had to come in person and ask for the form at the bar.
TomH
Dale, did you ask if they are going to spread this to the other Makers Mark Bourbon House and Lounges ?
NeoTexan
Dale, did you ask if they are going to spread this to the other Makers Mark Bourbon House and Lounges ?No, I didn't. I have noticed that the Louisville site is much more active in providing extras to the younger crowd. Our's seems content on being a restaurant vs a nightclub. cowdery
Every state has different rules regarding promotions. I doubt this runs afoul of any Kentucky rules. It's a loyalty program. There is a venerable old bar tradition in which the house picks up a round now and then, especially for loyal customers. This just formaizes it and in the process captures (probably) an email address and other data so they can keep you informed of other offers and events.Does anyone know how many of these Maker's Lounges there are? I only know the one in Louisville.
TomH
I know there is one at Indiana Live Casino in Shelbyville, IN (just east of Indy) and I believe there is another in KC. Not sure about any others

To me, a "flight" is a collection of samples, like those served a brewpubs. The Maker's Mark pub calls a single sample a "flight". I would just call it a "sample".) But yes, one pour does not make a flight. Often people would get confused if you used "sample" as samples are often free. Other places with use "Taster Pour" for a smaller portion. TomH
The Indy one is located about 15 miles east of Indy at Indiana Live Casino....Makers may sponsor a bar at Lucas Oil (I know they do at Conseco Arena), but these are just walk up bars to get drinks at not the full blown restaurant and lounge.
