Older bourbons have a higher alcohol content and taste stronger, which is not for everyone, she notes. "You will get an easier, mellower bourbon if it's younger," Weisstuch says.

Really? REALLY!?!? Coming from a writer for Whiskey Mag, I certainly hope that is a misquote.

Awesome, I am going to load up on that mellow white dog right now, who needs a barrel to smooth anything give me the juice straight, it must be at it's smoothest right then.

I'm willing to give Liza the benefit of the doubt. She's a good egg. I suspect the writer was the one confused.

"For example, Weisstuch likes Jim Bean's Knob Creek"

Good ole Jim Bean.

'But when it comes to his personal preference, he says, "my favorite bourbon is one that somebody else is paying for."'

Classic.

There was plenty of misinformation in that piece -- and from a Whisky mag writer too --- damn.

Chuck is accurate thankfully.
