I have tasted some LDI 3yo barrels... nothing you would write home about. The ones I tasted had that grassy rye flavor that I normally associate with young HH products.

How did this come about? Do tell.

Good point. LDI has bottling but not, to my knowledge, a single-barrel bottling line. Of course you could transfer it to someone who does, if you could persuade them to bottle it for you.

It's not an SB, but the folks who sell WH Harrison used the Temperance Distilling Company in Temperance, MI (North of Toledo) for their bottling. They make a wide variety of products themselves, including Jello shots, alcohol infused whipped cream and candy-flavored vodka. I do wonder if they have any whiskey currently aging tho.

Let's just say I know someone who knows someone who might have purchased some barrels from LDI. ;-)

See, there it is. Everything about them is so secretive.

Although it's done it's pretty rare for non-distiller producers to buy barreled whiskey and continue aging it, as most do not have warehouses.
