cowdery
I didn't want to start a drift in the conversation about Collingwood Canadian Whisky, but I do want to tell you how I got the quick clarification from Brown-Forman. I didn't ask them for it. Shortly after that thread got started I received an email from a contact at Brown-Forman who was monitoring the thread and volunteered the clarification. This is not the first time this has happened. Far from it. I mention this to point out that this board and what all of us contribute to it is followed closely by producers and other industry players. It is influential, and without question the most influential site of its kind on the internet.

dbk
A picture of that bottle would fit right into one of those small little books that smelled like grandma. Your grandma smells like bourbon? Lucky duck! Thanks for sharing, Chuck. It's good to know the producers are paying attention to SB.

OscarV
I remember the date because it was a day off for us, Mon Feb 7.I was up early and looking over the posts here and I see this person online who was looking at the KC1B thread.I didn't recognize him so I clicked on his name to check the profile. He has been a member since 2004 and has zero posts.I assumed he was an "industry" guy. Parkersback
Very well then, lets give them more to think about.- Weller 12 Bottled in Bond- A "Very, Very Old" Weller (15 Yr)- A Rittenhouse somewhere between the current aging and the 21 yr (maybe 10?) The 21, 23, & 25 lineup were great. Something in the 10-15 year range to keep the price affordable and the production numbers healthy seems appropriate. The Wellers sound like a good idea also

Parkersback
I've been learning a bit about Rare Breed, and it occurs to me that a similar product using Old Grand Dad could be great, i.e. a mixture of 6, 8 and 12 year old OGD (BIB or 114). Call it "Old Grand Dad: Generations." Sell it for $40, make a lot of money and make a lot of bourbon drinkers very happy. And if anyone from Beam is reading this, and you use this idea, my compensation for giving you the idea is excessively cheap: send me a case of the stuff every year you make it.
