autiger23
I am placing an order today, I finally had the chance to try the 127.8 barrel strength bottle for this past year's release but have not had the golden.I loved the PHC 2010 it's power. If you had to choose which would you pick. I really want to just order a case of the newest, but if I get a bottle of the golden anniversary, I can only budget 1 bottle of the 2010 as I have just spent too much on two other orders this week already. Thanks guys for your quick input, have to put it in by noon today. Thanks!
Virus_Of_Life
The Golden was a disappointment to me, tasted like they tried to recreate the 27 year, but didn't succeed. You could tell there was some very old whiskey in there, and it wasn't necessarily in a good way. Of course YMMV, but I'd skip it.
sailor22
I loved the PHC 2010 it's power. That kind of power isn't evident in the Golden or the 27yr but is to large extent in the first years release which is still available at some on line retailers. CaptainQ
Absolutely loved the 2010 wheater, already drank one bottle, six more bunkered. I just recently aquired a bottle of the golden after tasting it at a friends house. I liked it very much, but not as much as the barrel proof, so for the price I'd go with the 2010. sku
I thought the 2010 was the best PHC since the first edition. I agree with most here that the Golden Anniversary was lackluster.

nor02lei
I got the 2010 coming to me by trade. Is seem like the only way to get it nowadays. Privies versions have been available here, but not the latest. This seems like a trend here in Europe and it’s very frustrating indeed.Leif
jburlowski
The 2010 for sure. The Golden is good whiskey but more of a novelty / commemorative item.

cigarnv
The PHC 2010 is just damn good, the Bowman is unique... should be enough room on the shelf for both.....

G.H.Adams
The Bowman Rye is worth it. The Party Source is down to 25 bottles. May never come around again.
Rughi
The PHC 2010 is just damn good, the Bowman is unique... should be enough room on the shelf for both.....Well, the thing about both of them is that they both are whiskies from the beginning of new traditions, not the last nostalgic barrels of shuttered distilleries or abandoned whiskey-making traditions. The PHC 2010 and this Bowman are just the best expressions yet released of Heaven Hill wheater and Sazerac rye. Only stingy policies on the part of Sazerac or Heaven Hill will prevent whiskey like these excellent releases from being commonly available in the future.I say judge these distilleries by whether they let us have more like these great releases.Roger
