cas
Here's an AP story on the Raleigh, NC news site. I suspect the membership here is largely male, though I know a few women post here fairly regularly. Do any members of this group ever visit straightbourbon.com?http://www.wral.com/business/story/9417864/Craig

bonneamie
What I've read about the group so far hasn't convinced me to spend $50 to join it (when I could spend it on bourbon!). I suppose the existence of such a group might help let folks know that women drink bourbon too and all marketing needn't be directed at men, just like car companies gradually realized that women buy cars. However, I don't need additional cup holders or a place for my purse when drinking bourbon!

cowdery
It has been said about the success of the American women's soccer team that in Europe, soccer's heartland, everyone knows women don't play soccer. They don't know that over here. The American women don't have that mental block to overcome.I taught a bourbon class last night and the most enthusiastic students were two young women, one of whom plans to do the Bourbon Trail on her motorcycle this summer. I described to her the drive to Woodford Reserve. It has been a long time since I've gotten a women that excited.Young women are getting into bourbon because they don't know women don't drink bourbon. They were also very interested in learning about Van Winkles.
CorvallisCracker
Before you get too excited about the idea of a gf/wife who's into bourbon, I should tell you, as someone who has one, that means you'll be sharing.I got less than half of my bottle of 1994 EWSB. If I'm not careful, the same will happen with my ETL 15yo. :skep:

G.H.Adams
I'm lucky as the wife likes Knob Creek when we're traveling. Her regular pour is Tullamore Dew.
