I was perusing the PA bourbon website when I came across this:

http://www.finewineandgoodspirits.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?level0=null&level1=&level2=&level3=&level4=&catalogId=10051&storeId=10051&productId=1451094&langId=-1&prodlistCatId=&parent_category_rn=

Looks like here in PA I can get a William Larue Weller from the BTAC for $22.99!!! :slappin: :slappin:

(On the other hand it seems I can order OWA from PA, it's about time :smiley_acbt: )

I am betting that this is a mistake also as it says 107 proof and the Antique Collection release is 126.6 proof I think there must be too many Wellers the stores cannot keep them all straight

You would think the PA LCB wouldnt make such a mistake. It just goes to show how little the think of bourbon. That being said, I did order a bottle

They seem to be a bunch of nitwits. They have 2 listings for Wild Turkey Tradition. One is marked as 80 proof, you must buy 6, and the price is $129.99 plus tax. The other is identified as a one time buy, 101 proof, the price is $63.99, and they have it listed as available in many stores.

Visiting a friend in Philly this weekend, I ordered mine to be shipped to the store near his house. It said a 1-2 day delivery to store (I oredered yesterday). Anyone know how quick it really gets there...will it be delivered Sat or will I have to wait until Monday?

When I was a liquor store manager in PA they started delisting bourbons, starting with Elijah Craig 12 y/o. That's how little they think of bourbon. They cater to the wine snobs. They are nitwits! Thank God I moved from there to KY! The Rite Aid in Frankfort has a better bourbon selection than PA EVER had!

You will be receiving a bottle of Weller 107. I ran the product code on the REAL PLCB list and it came up as Weller 107 @ $22.99 via online ordering.

For those of you that want to know how to access this plethora of information:

Great link! Thanks a lot! I am fully expecting good old OWA 107, and am completely happy with being able to get it here in PA. My OP was making light of the PALCB listing the bourbon as BTAC when it is clearly not.

Just got back from PA, Left my Weller at the store. Saw on the website, EC18 for $40, which is normally about $55 in my neck of the woods, so I was going to pick one up, after searching the store and not finding it, I asked if there was a premium selection. I was told no, but I saw a storeroom (small closet behind the register where I just asked the guy if they have any premiums) open with about 5 bottles of Blantons. Blantons was not on the shelf so I knew it wasn't overstock. I replied well whats that in the room back there. His reply was that it was scotch, I said let me see that there scotch, and low and behold I found 3 bottles of 18 year old "scotch" with Reverand Craigs name on it.

I dont want to sound condescending toward an unknowing employee, but keep in mind the person that said they did not have it and that it was the scotch room was the MOD.

Typical PA state store employee and typical terrible advertising by the PLCB. I seriously hope Gov. Corbett can get the PLCB discontinued.

Yep. Great site and I'm glad to see Lew staying on top of things. Seems like even the PA media outlets who have long been supporters of the PLCB are even jumping ship on them.

I was looking on their website because my assistant drive up from Pa everyday. I wanted to get some better priced George Dickel. Here the cascade hollow which is the best in my opinion is 25 a fifth. The website say 8.99 I think. For a 750. I think it said by order only too. I wonder should I try to get it for that?

$8.99 for the Cascade Hollow sounds a lot more reasonable than $25. $25 sounds high for the No. 12.

All of george dickels stuff up here is over priced. I was wrong on the price of the 12. 29 buks. I talked to my store today to see if I bought a case of no 12 half gallons. 50 bucks a bottle. Nope, my liver does not like high priced stuff. Even if it ain't supposed to be.
