Is Jim Beam Devil's Cut worth trying?

I guess the title sums up my question, have any of you tried this? If you have is it worth trying? A local shop has it for $ 21, so I guess I really can't lose much, any info is appreciated.

I don't know how good it will be but I am going to try it. The name and the way they get it out of the barrel is curiosity enough for me.

As someone who tries to try it all, I would say that every Bourbon and Rye is worth trying. Even Beam products.

Tried it, and actually found it to be one of my favorite JB bottlings. Of course, that is relative...not a big fan of the Choice, White Label or Black.

Worth a shot in my opinion at this price point. I haven't tried it yet since I'm visiting the trail in 2.5 weeks, and was hoping this would be an offering at the tasting.

It's Beam bourbon, so no surprises there, but the underlying whiskey is better than white label and much closer to black. It has more charred oak flavor than even the genuinely 9-year-old Knob Creek, the oldest Beam, so if you like that sort of thing, Devil's Cut is the sort of thing you will like.

Picked up a bottle while out today, will try tonight or maybe tomorrow night. The guy at the counter said it was a very flavorful whiskey and that he really liked it. Guess I will know in time, thanks for all the input guys.

A few of us here in Brisbane, Australia hope to get to try some on Tuesday when Fred Noe is in town for a series of tastings. There's been talk of us getting to sample 'something we've never tried before', so most of us are assuming it's Devil's Cut. We'll be sure to post pictures and tasting opinions if it is.

And I thought that southeast New Mexico was a bourbon wasteland. It still has not shown up here. Glad I'm not alone.

I got to sample it at the WT facility in Clermont. It's not bad, it tastes a little older than it's actual age, but it still isn't a special flavor to me. (Note: I'm not at all a fan of JB White or Black.) If you know a Beam drinker, it might be nice to have it available for them to try, but I don't think I'll be purchasing a bottle.
