Just tried a sample of this, and curious to hear others' thoughts. The impact of the few months in barrel is evident in a rounder, more integrated nose and palate. And it definitely makes for a fine drink. I like it as a limited release that could be part of a series of interesting barreled cocktails, but it won't be replacing many homemade manhattans.

Your description sounds accurate to me. I've tried it and I like it. It makes a very enjoyable summer drink on the rocks. It reminds me of some Sherried whiskies.
