Ian S.
I would pick Woodford. Personally, KC makes me sick....just a bad sweet flavor.
RyanL
Woodford it is then. Kinda harsh but not awful. Not sure if I expected better or worse tho tbh.
StraightNoChaser
The rye notes in KC are almost too much. The grain flavor is very prevalent in that last bottle I sampled. WR on the other hand, albeit not a favorite around here, has a much more well integrated persona IMO
jcg9779
Another vote for Woodford, given the options.
Dr. François
If I were at a bar, I would go Knob Creek. I have a weakness for (exactly) 100 proof bourbon.I've been disappointed by Woodford too many times.
BigRich
I'll throw another one Woodford's way.
ebo
I like them both and drink both regularly. I would probably lean toward KC because I like the sweet, caramel taste profile. I think WR tastes a lot more woody... which I definitely like, at times.
moose
I would go with KC, it was pretty good when I initially tasted it, but I have not sampled it recently.
fishnbowljoe
Flip a coin. Both have their good, and not so good points. How's that for diplomacy? Cheers! Joe

Bourbon Boiler
WR, but it's close. I had a small sip of WR at barrel proof at the distillery, and it was very good. I wish they would offer a higher proof version. At bars in my area, KC is usually the best option of any bourbon so I developed a bit of a taste for it,
Young Blacksmith
Depends on my mood. KC for sweet, thick bourbon. WR for drier, spicy bourbon.
RaylanGivens
Some of you guys are funny, you would think he asked death by hanging or firing squad?I would vote for Woodford. The last bottle of KC I had stayed around for far too long, indicating it probably didn't need replacing. Besides Woodford will send you free custom labels for your bottles!

RaylanGivens
Why would you need custom labels for something you can buy off of virtually any liquor store shelf?I was kind of joking. I was referring to the custom stick ons Woodford will send you. You can make up any two lines of print, and they will whip them up and ship them to you for free to put on your WR bottles. cigarnv
HH does the full custom labels now and then... Just did one for the EC12 which when applied makes a great gift bottle.....

BFerguson
KC would get my vote.Always been pretty consistent in its profile, always available everywhere, and always just good in my book. Had a bottle of Woodford a while back that just turned me off from it. Haven't come back around to trying it again. B
smokinjoe
Have 'em both, regularly. And, I enjoy them both, very much. Incidentally, I've attained a newly found liking for Knob Creek. But here, I'd go with the Woodford. It's distinctiveness is a plus for me. BTW, even though, it might be the setting, (flying home on Delta after a long biz trip) but, WR is terrific out of those little bottles at 32K feet. :yum: Even, if they are $7 a pop.

It was a big freakin' deal when Delta started offering WR.
gblick
I prefer the Knob Creek over the Woodford Reserve. But I only ever had one bottle of WR, maybe I should try it again.

It was a big freakin' deal when Delta started offering WR.When you're at 30,000 feet, squeezed in next to someone who needs a seat belt extender and trying to get some last minute work done before a week's worth of boring meetings, the WR tastes pretty darned good. Even if the flight attendant pours it over ice before you get a chance to stop her.
G.H.Adams
Like both and have both on my shelf. Somedays I'm in the mood for KC and at other times WR. KC is my traveling bourbon because of the bottle shape fits in a bag that the wife and I take into the hotel.
cigarnv
Tough pick here for me... and that is not a good thing as I have never really warmed up to either the WR or KC. On the other hand both are well respected expressions and would be a welcomed gift by most who dabble in whiskey.
