Evan Williams SB 1998

I am a big fan of the EWSB 2000 and have heard good things about the 2001 currently available. I ran across some 1998 the other day. Does anyone have experience with both the 98 and 2000? Would it be that much different?

Yes. There is a definite difference from year to year. I currently have open bottles of '93, '96, '98, and 2000, and they all have distinct flavors. Whenever I hear someone say they don't like EWSB, I always think, "Which one?"

The 98 is a bit woodier but it's very good. I have both open at the moment.

I've had 2000 and 2001- the 2001 is nowhere near the quality of the 2000.

Plenty of EWSB 2000 still available in Virginia and on sale this month for $23.95.
