ratcheer Posted September 8, 2011 Share Posted September 8, 2011 I threw together a simple new concoction, last night, and it may have instantly become my favorite cocktail.In an on-the-rocks glass, I put several ice cubes, a healthy splash of Stirrings Blood Orange bitters (probably about 2 tsp), and a shot of good British gin (I used Tanqueray). moose Posted September 10, 2011 Share Posted September 10, 2011 For a nice change in the Gin and Tonic recipe I use Hendrick's gin, some nice tonic (such as Q) and then use thinly sliced cucumber wedges instead of lime. StraightBoston Posted September 16, 2011 Share Posted September 16, 2011 Hi Tim--Giving your cocktail a try (the gin was open after I experimented with an Aviator) and I don't mind a healthy splash of the Stirrings orange now that I have Fee Brothers orange bitters. I liked it but for complexity made one addition -- a splash (same amount as the bitters) of Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur. Need to work on the ratios but it's not bad. I've been drinking a Gin Basil Smash, modified with Tomato Water. I think Basil, Tomato and Gin are naturals together.
