Enoch
I have found a load of Kentucky Tavern. It appears to be made around 1976. It is in true quarts and half gallons and they want $11 for a quart and $19 for a half gallon. Label states Glenmore Distillery Lousville - Owensboro. Very dark for an 80 proof. Does anyone know much about this. I have tasted a recent bottle and didn't care for it.
tmckenzie
I would buy it. Somebody correct me if I am wrong, but that is medley whiskey. Which I would like to try one day. I saw you found some ezra brooks that was old stock. I would think it to taste alike.
cowdery
Too early for Medley. It's either Glenmore from Owensboro (the distillery on the other side of town, where the big Sazerac bottling house is now), or Yellowstone from Louisville. Medley at that point was still Medley. Glenmore bought it in 1987 or thereabouts. BUT probably very good, glut era, likely much older than 4 years.
