Greetings All. Man, I absolutely love this site.

So was in a local store and there were a few bourbons I've never seen before:

1. Parker's Heritage (they wanted $70 for it)

2. Breckenridge Colorado Bourbon (wanted $45 for it)

3. 4 Roses Single Barrel 2011 Limited Edition (want $70 for it)

I'm not adverse to paying those prices but they are a bit high for bourbon. Can anyone comment on these?

Which PHC? The first one a rye about 126 proof and the PHC 10 (wheated) are great and at $70 is priced well.

The FR SE 2011 is a very good bourbon although at first it was hot but after being opened a couple of months it did cool off and is very enjoyable.

Can't comment on the Breckenridge Colorado, but I can tell you that any of the PHC offerings are worth picking up. The 4 Roses SB 2011 Limited is an EXCELLENT bourbon. If I had to choose between the PHC and the 4 Roses I would reach for the 4 Roses every time. They are both extremely tasty and won't be on the shelves forever. You may never see them again if you pass now.

The Parker's and Four Roses above are great. I prefer the Four Roses of the two and wish I could find another bottle of it.

Thank you all for the great advice. Truly appreciate it. I'll probably go get my bottle of the 4 Roses today and the PHC...whenever. I'm pretty sure it is the Wheat variant but dont quote me on it. Stupidly I did not take down much info on it.

Really, I have utterly been overtaken by bourbon as of late - to the point where I dont look as favorably on my Scotch collection anymore - and I'm just glad there are some really great offerings still on the market!
