Old JW Dant and Wild Turkey - Seeking Info

I have two bottles that I picked up from my parents collection of liquor they've purchased over the years and never touched. Wanted to see what info you guys might know about them.

JW Dant - BIB, Sour Mash - 100 proof, code at the bottom says JW73406, code on the back says DSP-KY-31. It's a screw top, I've consumed about 1/3 of the bottle, it's tasty stuff.

Austin Nichols Wild Turkey - 101 Proof, 8 years old, 375ml bottle, no codes or anything, just a really old GA Tax stamp and a $7.59 price tag on the top. I haven't opened this one yet.

Any thoughts?

Both links show "no matches found" - I searched for the Dant code and got no results also. Will try some other searches and see what I can dig up.

No worries....found some info on the Dant, sounds like it's maybe an early 90s bottling? Guess there isn't really a way to know when the WT8 was made. Guess I'll just have to drink it and see how it tastes.

I can't help with the WT, but the Dant BIB is a pre-fire HH product. I have a couple of bottles, and I agree that it's tasty stuff. There are several variations of the older Dant BIB. DSP 31-Heaven Hill, DSP 2- Bernheim/Astor, and DSP 113-Buffalo Trace. All are good. :yum:

I'm attaching a pic to show a couple different versions. Notice how dark the 750 is? The empties on either end are recent additions for the "Empty Bottle Support Group" I actually had the last pour from one of them as I was typing this post. :grin: Cheers and Enjoy! Joe

Government warnings began late in 1989, I think. UPCs were introduced in the mid-80s. That gives you a 5 or six year window, at least.

Mid to late 80s bottle...much appreciated. I'll be cracking that this weekend with a buddy to see what lies within.
