Flyfish
So, uh, should reviews of this stuff go in the PRC forum or what?http://www.redbluebourbon.com/ Seriously silly idea to sell bourbon. Very Maker's Mark. Um, I think it's Heaven Hill. But still a silly idea.
cowdery
I can verify that it is Heaven Hill.
sku
Yes. It is Heavan Hill. I just meant it is a Maker's type thing to do (multiple commemorative bottlings).

AaronWF
What is this, like Rock the Vote? Isn't there a law that requires voting and drinking remain mutually exclusive?I prefer politics like I prefer my whiskey: Blue + Red = Brown, thank you very much. mosugoji64
The thing that really matters is, how do they taste? Could make for some fun blind tasting parties!
Josh
On the Michigan list these jokers are listed at 80 proof and retail for $15 bucks each for a 750 ml bottle. For the sake of comparison, Fighting Cock is $18, Evan Williams is about $12, Heaven Hill Gold Label and M&M NAS are both $7.50. mark fleetwood
This is silly. So onto less silly matters, does anyone recall Max S. saying in past few months that HH would be putting out whiskey under labels that are from days gone by? (I may have been dreaming or hallucinating, or both, but could have sworn he said they'd be doing something fun like that.)

Josh
I will admit that we picked a bottle of each up in Bardstown in September. The wife wants to serve them at an election night party!
Bmac
When I saw the title it sounded like the begining of a Dr. Zeus rhyme: Red state, blue state, bad state, good state
keith18
Seems like half that party might end up leaving pissed off.
Enoch
I wish HH would release sales figures of each. Would be an interesting but non scientific poll.

ethangsmith
So since I bought some EC12, does that mean I just voted for the Rev. Elijah Craig for president?? Because I'm sure he'd do a better job than either of the *insert curse word here* we have to pick from in a few short weeks. Oh, and his bourbon is mighty fine stuff too. Enoch
I wish HH would release sales figures of each. Would be an interesting but non scientific poll.Since I figure these are pretty much bottom, bottom shelf bourbons. It would be interesting to see if Repubs or Dems have the worst taste in Bourbon. This comment is in jest and in no way a political statement. cowdery
Heaven Hill's Red State/Blue State is actually some pretty decent bourbon. Nothing to set your heart aflutter, of course, but perfectly drinkable. It's such a tribute to Heaven Hill's quality that even a bourbon they made as a joke is pretty darn good. After the election, stores that still have it will probably blow it out cheap. It's worth picking up if you have a chance.
