Does anyone know when the BTAC and Van Winkles will be released in Wisconsin?

After a dumb loss to a bad team I am Jonsing for some good whiskey. I have not seen the BTAC or any of the Van Winkles in Wisconsin yet. Does anyone have a clue as to when I will see it?

I think it already hit. When I was in Madison at Thanksgiving Star Liquor had just gotten their Van Winkles. I also saw decent stocks of BTACs at a couple places over that weekend. Call around...

Already shipped per the ORVW FS:

Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery

Wisconsin and Tennessee (Chattanooga) orders have shipped.

Apples to oranges. For some reason Badger Liquor Milwaukee and Badger Liquor "Frank" in Madison operate in 2 separate universes.

In any event, Hip Flask, I can't believe you haven't found any 2011 BTAC in MKE. It's everywhere. PM me, let me know which bottles, and I'll point you in the right direction.

As for Van Winkles, they were supposed to ship last week, and may have, but they'll certainly be there by this week.

Madison always ships earlier. I'd already rounded up Madison VWFRR in Nov., but MKE had not received any as of last week.:hot: :hot:

Madison is picked over, already, for both the Van Winkle and BTAC. I know of one place that had ORVW 10/90 left at about $40 a bottle. A few other places have the less popular BTAC bottles: Eagle Rare 17 and Thomas Handy Sazerac Rye. If you're really aching to pay $250 for a bottle of Pappy 20 year old, then send me a PM and I'll point you to the store.

Wow, interesting. So there's almost a 4 week difference between Madison and Milwaukee getting their VWs? That's strange.

Here in Texas, there's at least a month lag between Houston and Dallas - even though DFW is a considerably larger metro area, Houston gets about 2x as much Pappy & BTAC, and gets it a month sooner.

The running joke is that Houston gets all they want, and Dallas gets the remainder... Which is essentially true.

The btac hit about a month ago. I was in Discount Liquor in Waukesha a few days ago and they had one bottle of each on the shelf. I picked up an extra Weller.

Rays wine in Wauwatosa is out. Maybe check the ottos chains?

I'm in southeastern Wisconsin

pappy hasn't hit yet in the Milwaukee area

Van Winkle products hit southeastern Wisconsin this week. Crazy, when you consider Madison got theirs a month ago.

Finally scored some. Went with the 15 yr, ORVW 107, 13 yr rye. Also socred some Ritt BIB. Hopefully what was left of the BTAC will be there a little longer. I need some Handy but need to replen the whiskey budget. Thanks for those that pointed me in the right direction
