My son and I went to Specs today for all of our Christmas shopping. Obviously, no one ever returns my Christmas gifts. For my personnal use, I checked the back room for some Van Winkle, Stagg or William Larue Weller and found none. I then waited to speak with the Bourbon manager, who told me their entire allotment went to the far east. What? First it was our vintage Harley's and now our Bourbon. Then my college student son pipes in and informs us he scored a bottle of Stagg and two bottles of WLW last summer and has them stashed in his bedroom. In my own home! Last spring he came home with two bottles of Van Winkle. It seems he has a knack for finding BT's antique collections in small and obscure stores. I'm happy.

Don't know about you...but, if it's in my house that goes a long, long way toward answering the question of ownership. However, I'm a bit of a throwback...I still operate under the feudal system.

I don't know that I'd claim ownership under a fuedal system, but I'd definitely charge an inventory tax of a few sips on a modern pseudo-capitalitst system.
