callmeox
You guys don't think $55 is too much for Lot B?I've paid 49 plus tax without hesitation for Lot B.If you're concerned that the price is too high then take a pass.
AaronWF
10/107. I'm not a fan of recent 'plan B'.
jcg9779
You guys don't think $55 is too much for Lot B?It was $65 in Atlanta last Spring....didn't even look for it in the Fall release.
Beer&Bourbon
You guys don't think $55 is too much for Lot B?I think that's a very reasonable price in terms of what it typically sells for, but I'd pass at that since I'm not a big Lot B fan. Get it if you haven't tried it before though. I'd definitely grab the 10/107.

SeaninSD
I was in a local store today and they wanted $139 for Lot B! They also wanted $89 and $99 for the 10/90 and 10/107 respectively and $229 for the 20 year!

Hah hah, I was trying to be polite, I guess My wife likes it because it has no burn after a splash of water, but to my taste it's just not interesting. fishnbowljoe
Outrageous prices man. I paid $33 for ORVW 10/107, and $42 for LotB.

And this is Kentucky, where everybody and their mom is looking for anything Pappy!
SDpappy
I bought a few bottles of the Lot B this year and I think for the price, the 10/107 is a better deal. The Pappy 15 is in a different league imo and isn't much more than the Lot B in retail pricing. I passed on an offer for Lot B for $60 but am buying as much Pappy 15 as I can for under $70. bad_scientist
Retail in Montgomery County, MD:VAN WINKLE BOURBON 10YR 107P $24.89 750ML VAN WINKLE OLD RIP 10YR - 90P $23.19 750ML VAN WINKLE REY - 13YR 95.6P $45.15 Pappy 15 is also $45, I think. The 20 year old is like $80-90, and the 23 is pretty expensive, close to $200.You'll never find these, of course, unless you are on a list, but it demonstrates just how much of a markup wholesalers and retailers are charging. It's insane. I know they complain about how much they have to deal with, but retailers must be making a huge, huge profit per bottle.
SeaninSD
I think at the prices this store wants that they are going to sit for a while.I found the 10/90 and 10/107 for $39 at Total Wine in Phoenix while home for the holidays and thought that was cheap, but you guys sure have some better deals. The cheapest I found the Lot B for in San Diego is $79, the cheapest for the 15 is $99 and the 20 years for $129, plus add the high CA taxes on top of that. speedbump47
For me the Lot B didn't represent a good middle point between the ORVW 10/107 and the Pappy 15.ORVW 10/107 was $40, Lot B was $55 and Pappy 15 was $70 here in LA. The Rye was $70 as well. Tried each one and the Lot B was very underwhelming relative to the others.Pappy 15 was amazing, ORVW was really good, as was the Rye and Lot B tasted watered down and muted. It must not just be me, because I have still seen 5-6 bottles of Lot B sitting on the shelf for the past 4 weeks after I got mine. ORVW 10/107 is gone (though 10/90 was still there), VWFRR stayed for a few weeks, but the straggling bottles disappeared over the course of 3 days in early Jan. Guess I should have bought another...there's always next season/year.
trumpstylz
Haha. I have a feeling there might have been a different set of responses had I said the 90 proof instead of the 107.

angler82
I like ORVW 107 a lot but the hunt is a hassle. Only picked up two bottles this release.Lot B is good whiskey but I don't bother with it when I can find Weller 12 year throughout the year at half the price. Kinda disappointed about that. I've gotten 2x of the 90 proof for like $32 though. Decent price for those, I think.I know a few places I can pick up a few more Lot B's but I think I am with you on the Weller 12. I am contemplating ordering a case of that goodness in place of upping the Lot B stock.
