Fare thee well to my favorite vatting*:

50% Weller 7/107 (old label)

25% Binny's Weller 12

25% 2008 VW Lot B

My tweak on the SB vatting. F'ing amazing, especially with some air time.

* By which I mean: my favorite personally designed vatting. I've tasted the work of The Master so I am not pretending to be anything other than a rank amateur in this department.

Another Weller 12 bites the dust. We'll be seeing each other again soon enough.

Finished yet another Rittenhouse BIB, but it will never be absent from my shelves. I learned a long time ago to keep at least one spare in reserve.

2007 OF Birthday Bourbon has finally met its end and Dixie Dew is teetering close to the edge of demise as well. Should knock off the DD tonight and fortunately have one more bottle in the bunker.

I ended up finishing off a number of open bottles in the last week or so. Now in the recycle bin are a 200ml of AA BIB, a 375 ml dusty of JW Dant BIB, a liter of Very Rare Old Heaven Hill 8 year 86 proof, a JTS Brown BIB, and a ORVW 10/90. With so much space available on my "open" shelf, I just had to open few more bottles. What can I say?

Bottle of Bulleit Rye said goodbye. It will be replaced, but with some Saz 18, and Knob Creek Rye already open and a bottle of Handy I am really starting to yearn to open and try, there will be enough open Rye, so it might be a while until it returns.

Major culling of the herd this weekend: 2007 OF Birthday, OF Signature, Dixie Dew, Dickel #12 and an old bottle of Fleischmann's Preferred Blended Whiskey that a relative from Wisconsin dropped on me a while back. All good-to-great in their own ways and very satisfying.

Bottle of Woodford Reserve is no more. I don't think I will replace this one anytime soon though, not worth the $

Weller 12 went down the hatch last night and will be replaced the next time Binny's runs one of their 15% off spirits sales. On deck for its final pour or two is an "old" label OWA which should get knocked off tonight.

Bottle of 2011 Saz 18 hit the bin tonight

Overall I really enjoyed this one. Super fresh out of the gate, seemed to dumb down a bit around month three but was really enjoyable towards the end. Took me about 8-9 months to drain this one.
