AaronWF
If you could only drink the products of one distillery for the rest of your life, which distillery would you choose?I'd say you could choose from distilleries that no longer produce, but I'm afraid that everyone would say S-W...My choice is Four Roses. Their bourbons are at once singular and distinctive, and there's something honest and simple about the transparency with their recipes. Other distilleries make brands out of mash and barrel placement; with FR, the name of the distillery is the name of the brand, and I like that. And so many of the favors I find in their bourbons are just out of this world. trumpstylz
I'm guessing we're gonna hear a lot of buffalo trace -their product line seems to be the most varied- wheaters, ryed bourbons, rye whiskies, etc... (assuming stitzel weller, michters and other defunct distilleries are out of the question).
clingman71
If SW is out of the question, BT and its 2rye bourbons, straight rye, and wheated bourbon would be the logical choice. But tonight Im inclined to say 1992 Bernheim.
mosugoji64
Wow, that's a tough one. My tastes change almost daily so picking just one would be difficult. I suppose it would be BT just because I love the Weller line, but they all put out some amazing bottles that would be hard to give up. Good question! Parkersback
I'd choose Heaven Trace. Either that or Buffalo Hill.
sku
Definitely the Willett "Distillery." Then I'd get to drink some of everything.
StraightNoChaser
Another vote for Four Roses
BMartin42
Gotta go with BT. Variety, plus those yummy Wellers. FR would be a close second.
Ejmharris
BT for the Weller line. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
smokinjoe
Tough choice for me between Buffalo Trace and Heaven Hill. Really tough. I think I'll go with BT, though. But, just by a nose. Difference maker is the Stagg and Baby Saz rye. But, HH's PHC's and regular BIB's make them a solid contender. I just hope these are the Polynesian Islands. So, if I get bored with my choice, I'll just jump in my canoe and go trade with close-by friendly island neighbors.
wripvanwrinkle
After a little soul searching, my answer is Beam. Although I have never had a mind blowing experience with a Beam product, I have had many great nights with a Knob Creek in hand. Maybe this says something about me...faced with monotony I would opt for consistency over wonder.
JayMonster
A month ago, I probably would have said Beam, but now... I guess it would have to be Buffalo Trace. Just not sure life is worth livin' without my OWA now.

A good buddy of mine went on a four roses kick for about a year where he loved it so much that it had to have been at least 75% of what he bought drank, and now he cant stand it (hopefully it will pass in time).I remember him saying something I heard in the best of 2011 thread, that they "could do no wrong."He did tell me that he felt that even with the varied recipes, it all tasted somewhat similar. I wonder what it would be like had prohibition never come along and there were still 100's of distilleries with each thier own little profile. trumpstylz
It is mind-blowing to think about how different the American whiskey scene would be right now if prohibition had never happened. At the rate we're going, what will the industry will be like in 50 years? Maybe we are heading in the direction of 100's of distilleries each with their own profiles?Haha, yeah. 100's of craft distilleries that all suck. White Dog
Haha, yeah. 100's of craft distilleries that all suck. That's harsh, man. I had some McCarthy's 3yr Single Malt over the weekend that was fantastic.
White Dog
If I could have access to the Rye and Straight Corn that they've been making for HH, and if I could take my pick of Birthday years, I may actually consider B-F.
