The last couple of years I have had to bring my own stash to Super Bowl parties, knowing that my friends are heavy beer drinkers. This year I will have the good fortune of having people at my house and my choice of bourbon.

Currently I have Blantons and 1792 Kris Comstack open which I am excited to enjoy during the game. If the Giants win, I will have to break open some Pappy and if the Pats win, Jim Beam White.

Hope everyone has a healthy and happy, and enjoy's their favorite bourbon while watching a great game.

 ....and go ahead and make the Pats fans drink it while they are there...that's one you don't want leftovers

I had plans for a bottle of Knob Creek Single Barrel, but it didn't come in yet. Normally, I stick with simple non-complex drinks, and rarely try anything new since I am paying less attention to what I am drinking.

But I have a Bottle of Eagle Rare 10 that is dying to be tried, and considering falling for the marketing and picking up a bottle of Maker's 46 for Super Bowl XLVI.

LMAO, you are not kidding. I have been trying to get rid of that bottle for a few years now. I am going to have to bring that over to someone's house and just leave it.

I am going to a party given by Pats fans and no bourbon drinkers, so if Giants win I will come home and have some Pappy.

I'm debating between a WLW or GTS -- will probably have a bottle of Pappy on ice to celebrate the Pats W.

I had thought about buying into the Samuels hype of Maker 46 for Superbowl 46....but forgot about it until today and I don't have a bottle in the bunker and can't buy one today (no Sunday sales).

So, even though I know the NY Giants play in New Jersey, I'm going with the only thing I can think of for NY.....High West Manhattan.

I'm having a 70/30 vatting of 1789b OWA #6 and Weller 12 2009. Quite tasty while working some baby back ribs on the smoker!

Just curious about your smoker setup -- I use a Smokenator in my Weber but don't like to do it in this kind of "cold" (no complaints about 40 degrees in February) due to the difficulty keeping the heat up and all of the condensation that builds up and make cement out of the ashes.

But damn, I could go for some good Q today.

I'm thinking some PVW 20 in my flask for the game. It's a beer crowd at the party I'm going to....

I was making a veiled postgame Champagne reference. If the Pats win, I might reach for a bottle of the 'new' PVW15 I've been wanting to check out.

Got a bottle of Maker's 46 for the game tonight... I know, not real original, but I like the stuff and I haven't had any for a while, so it was really just an excuse to get some more.

I'm going to make my way through a new bottle of Ritt and some OWA while watching Super Bowl XLIII on the DVD....GO STEELERS!!!!

I'll be spending the game hoping the Law Firm crashes into Belichick on the sidelines and causes gruesome injuries to both (but nothing that will cripple them for life). Then my wife will let me open my TPS Bowman rye.

I'm going to work my way into this gently. First up, a Weller 12 & Vernor's Ginger Ale, with a couple of splashes of Bitter Truth Lemon Bitters tossed in. I like what the Lemon Bitters do to this mixture. :yum:

That's the route I was going as well. My bottle of MM46 is about 80% full after 18+ months, so it's a good excuse to drink it down a little.

10am Monday morning here. So it's coffee though I've taken the day off to watch the game.

Pappy safe, I think I'm going to dent this THH instead. Terrible first half, exciting finish.

Did not care for either team and just watched as nothing else was on. I started with a 10 Handy and finished the night with the Bowman Rye.

I brought an Eagle River Weller SR to the party, telling the host that I'd leave whatever was left in the bottle for him. That ended up being only about 1/2". Apparently I'm not the only one who likes this single barrel bottling.

Enjoyed some Old Forster Signature, vw12, pvw15, and stranahan's during the game. Brought the pappy 20 to open for a giant win. Great night.

Also brought some wt101 and rr rye but never made it to them myself. Brother in law is obsessed with mixing rye into hot mint tea and calling it a mint Julep. Haha to each their own.

The pvw15 from spring 2011 was bottled in 09 and was fantastic from the first pour. Happy that all my stored up pvw15 are dated 09 or earlier.

The stranahan's has been really blowing me away lately. Opened it maybe a year ago and was not impressed. Decided to let it sit a long time with some air in it. Great decision! Tons of apple and spice notes dancing around in there now.
